About the Author
Jonathan disappointed his father, mother, grand-father, and others when he became a lawyer rather than a minister or missionary. He graduated seventh in his law school class, and co-lead the Law Review as an Associate Editor with two published law summaries. The world’s largest international law firm, Baker McKenzie, headquartered in Chicago, hired him directly out of law school to practice Latin and South American business law (all in Spanish and Portuguese). He took his practice into the United States’ and foreign securities law, and he also worked as a successful investment banker during seventeen of his forty years in law.
Jonathan is an author of technical legal books, as well as books similar to this book. He recently published a historical novel, titled The Missionary’s Wife, about his parent’s activities against the Nazis in South America during World War II.
